Solo entertainer website
I grew up in rural South Carolina just south of Columbia. My mother was a professional musician until marrying my dad. My old dad spent 35 years working in a cotton mill and loved to drink beer and smoke. My biggest influence for music came from my uncle, the famed blue grass legend Lester Flatt. He use to stop by and perform on our porch when I was a little boy. That was the spark that made me buy a guitar from a pawn shop and learn to play. As the years went by I served in the USMC from 1972 to 1975. My love for music never went away and I found myself with the desire to become and entertainer. Having performed with numerous artists that included The Nitty Gritty DIrt Band, Ray Price, Billy Walker and many others my love for entertaining grew. I formed a couple different bands until finding the right combination of talent and attitude I was looking for. The Cowboy and Hobo Show featuring Bob Selby (Boxcar Bob) and Wil Kelley (The Drifter) and myself began performing in Minnesota in 2006. Since then we have been putting on shows all over the US from Oregon to Missouri and Minnesota to Texas.
Now I live most of the year in Brownsville, Texas and perform as a solo act at many locations near my home. Still I perform with the band as well. Its a lot of fun and look forward to many more years of providing entertainment to the public.
